Either you can zip small files into one large zip file or extract a large compressed zip file back into small files.
This utility is useful for email attachments and down loading files from the internet.
Compressed files don't take as long to download from the net ,saving you phone charges.
The latest version has a plug-in software for your internet explorer which gives integrated commands.
Also a new plug-in is available at winzip website which allows you to zip files for email attachments in office outlook.
There is even now command line plug-in available. Current version at time of writing is version 11.0
